Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal
was arrested for drunk driving yesterday after crashing his Ferrari on the
outskirts of Santiago.
The Chilean soccer star who is
currently starring in his country's bid to win the Copa America on home soil,
suffered minor injuries.the police said his wife who was also in the red sports
car, had moderately serious injuries.The player posted a short video message on
YouTube, in which he tried to reassure his fans.
The combative midfielder is no
stranger to controversy. Earlier this season Juventus handed him a club record
of 112,000 dollars fine after he was allegedly involved in a drunken brawl
outside a Turin nightclub.
