blatter to remain in office

Sepp Blatter has been re-elected as president of Fifa after winning the vote against challenger Prince Ali bin al-Hussein of Jordan.

Blatter had missed out on the required two-thirds majority in the first ballot - receiving 133 votes to his rival's 73 - but Prince Ali then took to the stage to withdraw before a second round could begin.

Delegates at the 65th Fifa Congress in Zurich opted for Blatter despite the widespread controversy that engulfed the event this week.

Seven Fifa officials, including vice-president Jeffrey Webb, were arrested at dawn by Swiss authorities on request of the US Justice Department on Wednesday and are facing extradition to the United States on money laundering, racketeering and wire fraud charges.

On the verge of retaining, will they?

Arsenal have been putting together their final plans as they prepare for their final game of the season against Aston Villa in the FA Cup final on Saturday. Manager Arsene Wenger is left with  few key decisions still to make as he watched his squad train at their London Colney base in the rain on Friday morning. Olivier Giroud is likely to spearhead the Gunners attack, despite Theo Walcott's superb hat-trick against West Brom last week, While Jack Wilshere is also set to start from the bench, despite his superb goal in their final Premier League game.

I want o coach; EPL referee.

FA Cup Final referee Jonathan Moss has ambitions to become a manager once he stops officiating.
The 44-year-old from Sunderland will take charge of Saturday's game between Arsenal and Aston Villa.

Moss has designs that extend beyond officiating, though, having already taken his UEFA B coaching badge. On weekends, he coaches under-age sides.

'I would love to do it, If you can manage people, I think the skills are transferable.
he said.

Moss, who also serves as an executive head of a primary school in Halifax, says he has been asking current managers for tactical insight and would one day like to give coaching a try.
'We join in the coaching sessions on club visits  and i'd love to try it' he added.
